On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie.

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Seven ancient gods, six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the eight day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Eight screaming victims, seven ancient gods, six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Nine missing teens, eight screaming victims, seven ancient gods, six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Ten plotting mages, nine missing teens, eight screaming victims, seven ancient gods, six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Eleven dancing fairies, ten plotting mages, nine missing teens, eight screaming victims, seven ancient gods, six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: Twelve magic weapons, eleven dancing fairies, ten plotting mages, nine missing teens, eight screaming victims, seven ancient gods, six cackling demons, five spectral spooks, four hairy werewolves, three sexy vampires, two nameless horrors and a slow moving hungry zombie…

Then she handed me a shotgun and said: “Get the zombie first. These things can get out of hand…”

You can check it out right here. The tour is to promote his book The Rookie. What’s The Rookie? It’s American Football with aliens, humans and what can only be described as a very loose set of safety regulations.

Sticking to his tradition of general awesomeness, Sigler has posted a free podcast of The Rookie in its entirety on his site.

* With apologies to Jay Z

I used to hold myself to 1000 words per day, or at least I tried to, but I stopped when I realised I was producing 1000 words a day of writing so bad it was hard to rewrite. Now I try to write something every day, even if it’s not on my main project. Sticking to this has been easier, and sometimes I get lucky and get 2000 words on the main project all in one hit.

I just completed 1500 words on chapter three of The Shadow Library and its actually going pretty well. I usually don’t get a really good idea of the final product until edit two, but this is coming along quite well.

Still, time for sleeping.

Andrew
